02Conviction scores are opinions

The 0–100 conviction score is the output of a quantitative model that interprets public data — insider transactions, institutional activity, fundamentals, and momentum. It is an opinion expressed as a number, not a prediction, a price target, or a measure of suitability for you. Scores can be wrong, can change without notice, and should never be the sole basis for a trade.

03Data sources and accuracy

AlphaSignal's underlying data comes from public filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (including Forms 4 and 13F) and other public market data providers. Filings can be amended, delayed, or erroneous at the source. We work hard to parse them correctly and quickly, but we make no warranty that the data or our interpretation of it is accurate, complete, or timely.

Examples on our marketing pages — including references to well-known investors such as Warren Buffett, Peter Thiel, Bill Ackman, and Cathie Wood — are illustrative.
